Lake Washington Technical College is located in the Seattle metro
area. The College’s Technology Center expansion project included
a two-story comprehensive learning resource center, a digital
design studio, new science labs, information technology classrooms,
and a student gathering area. 9Wood ceilings were selected for
use in both an interior and exterior areas.
The 9Wood series selected was the 2100 Panelized Linear wood
ceiling system. The dimensions of the four grille members were
2 ¼” x 5/8” using solid Hemlock, with 3”
o.c. spacing. The geographical location necessitated that the
system be seismically compliant on all panels.
