Exceptional wood ceilings should do more than elevate a space. They should also contribute to a healthier planet and a more transparent design process.

In our industry “Sustainability” means different things to different people. For us, it means openness, accountability, and the discipline of continuous improvement.

In this video, we take you into the forest, where our Sustainability story begins. From there, we follow the journey through sourcing, design, and manufacturing. Our commitment is rooted in the AIA Materials Pledge. We aim to provide architects and designers with Custom Made Fast wood ceiling systems that are high-performing, environmentally responsible, and fully disclosed.

HPDs

Ingredient transparency documents that list the materials and chemicals in 9Wood products—disclosed to the 1000 ppm level to support material health screening for LEED, WELL, and LBC.

FSC/PEFC Certificates

Chain of Custody certificates for responsibly sourced wood. 9Wood offers FSC® and PEFC™ options across solid and veneered products to support LEED, LBC, and CALGreen compliance.

EPDs

Third-party verified reports (coming 2025) that measure the environmental impacts of 9Wood products across their full life cycle—used to track embodied carbon for LEED, Buy Clean, and other frameworks.

CDPH Declarations

VOC emissions testing based on California’s CDPH v1.2 standard. Products with water-based finishes can meet low-emitting material requirements for LEED, WELL, and CALGreen.
