The AIA Materials pledge challenges manufacturers to prioritize materials that support human health, environmental stewardship and circular economies. At 9Wood we’ve embedded these values into our product development, sourcing and manufacturing processes

Human health
by preferring products that support and foster life throughout their life cycles and seek to eliminate the use of hazardous substances.
Climate health
by preferring products that reduce carbon emissions and ultimately sequester more carbon than emitted.
A circular economy
by reusing and improving buildings and by designing for resiliency, adaptability, disassembly, and reuse, aspiring to a zero-waste goal for global construction activities.

9Wood is implementing a new water-based finish option to provide CDPH compliant products and improve emissions for both the people who live and work around our products with a long term goal of phasing out solvent based finishes. Click here to learn more about our water based finish.
