  3. 2300 Continuous Linear Installation Time Study [VIDEO]

2300 Continuous Linear Installation Time Study [VIDEO]

The 9Wood 2300 Continuous Linear system is one of our fastest products to install. The Speed-Lock clip makes installation up to 3x faster than our competitors.

To demonstrate this* we brought in two local installation teams with different levels of interaction with our products.

Wood Ceiling Installation Team 1

Team 1 had not installed the 2300 linear ceiling before but had worked with our panelized systems. The 400-square-foot test ceiling took a two-person group 4 1/2 hours to install, for an average rate of 89 square feet/hour.

Wood Ceiling Installation Team 2

Team 2 had worked with 2300 linear before. They started at 71 square feet/hour and increased to 117 square feet/hour before the halfway point. The average for their test also landed at 89 square feet/hour.

“It’s really fast to install.”

“We found a better way to speed it up as we got halfway through the ceiling. If we would have done that from the beginning, we probably would have done even better.”

What is the 2300 Continuous Linear System?

We like to refer to it as our budget-friendly option with clean, uninterrupted lines and reveals for acoustics. Contractors prefer this product due to the fast progressive installation, thanks to our Speed-Lock clips.

The 2300 Continuous Linear is absolutely Fast>Track eligible. This means we can guarantee an aggressive shipment date with this option (3-6 weeks including approvals.)

The 9Wood Continuous Linear style wood ceiling offers an open reveal linear design where the individual wood member is wider than it is deep. The layout is built around a 12″ module. Members are installed randomly to create a continuous, random joint appearance. Lengths are random for solid wood or 8′ for veneers. Veneers with matching edge banding come in 4′ and 8′ lengths. Cost budgets are typically the decision driver; both solid lumber and engineered veneers perform well.

The Continuous Linear provides the classic open-reveal continuous linear appearance, creating a monolithic ceiling field. Access can be achieved through strategically located access panels or from room perimeters. Members are clipped to T-Bar main runners progressively.
